Tension Shards are floating crystals which follow the player in combat. They are filled by various actions taken during a fight and consumed by the use of powers and the unfolding of weapons.
When filled, they glow dull yellow. Otherwise, they are black. It is useful to note that the shards of other players cannot be seen, in combat or out.
